About Paragon Advisory Group

Paragon Advisory Group provides confidential advisory services to middle-market operating companies, their boards and their private equity sponsors. The firm works with senior leaders when executive conflict, leadership misalignment, or high-stakes negotiations threaten enterprise value and when internal resolution is no longer viable. Engagements are selective, discreet, and structured around a defined outcome rather than an open-ended relationship.

Founder

Paragon Advisory Group is led by Matt Schrader, a confidential advisor to middle-market CEOs, boards, and PE sponsors on executive conflict and high-stakes negotiations.

Matt serves as a senior facilitator delivering advanced negotiations programs to Fortunes 500 and enterprise level operators across industrials, energy, aerospace and construction. His advisory focuses on the structural and behavioral drivers of executive conflict including: decision rights, incentive design, authority clarity, and leadership alignment, Particularly during ownership transitions, post-acquisition integration, and high consequence negotiations.

Before building his practice, Matt spent 21 years in uniform retiring from Pararescue as a Master Sergeant followed by several years in Government Contracting and defense-services Joint Venture. Those environment shaped his approach to this work: calm in high-stakes decisions, disciplined about discretion, and clear about consequences.

He holds a MBA and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership and Negotiations. He is an IMI Certified Mediator, Conflict Dynamic Profile (CDP) certified, Thomas-Kilmann (TKI) certified and Eckerd Collage MTI Train the Trainer workplace mediator.

Founder's Notes

Organizations do not fail because leaders are weak.
They fail because systems create conflict faster than leaders can resolve it.

Paragon Advisory Group exists to help executives confront these moments directly with clarity, discretion, and respect for the weight of the decisions involved.
